Scott began his career at Price/McNabb in Charlotte, North Carolina after attending the Portfolio Center in Atlanta, Georgia. Working under creative director John Boone (Nissan "G.I. Joe"), his work quickly garnered numerous industry awards, including a One Show Gold Pencil and recognition by Communication Arts.
Fired the day after John was ousted in a political coup, Scott found himself at Earle Palmer Brown in Richmond, Virginia working on the Virginia Lottery and Golden Corral accounts. He gained lots of television experience, and it was during a trip to Los Angeles that he decided he would make it his home.
Scott has since been freelancing at such places as davidandgoliath, TBWA/Chiat Day and Team One, working on everything from Kia and Energizer to Lexus and HBO. He also continues to work with John Boone at his award-winning agency, Boone/Oakley in Charlotte, North Carolina, thus proving that it pays to be loyal.
